What Is A Level 2 Home Care Package (HCP)?
Webb Home Care provides elderly Australians with level 2 Home Care Packages (HCP). HCP ranges from levels 1 to 4, with level 2 being ideal for your loved one if they have basic in-home care requirements. Level 2 HCP provides up to $18,622 in government-subsidised funding to be allocated to our services, which include:
- Personal care: This includes basic personal care such as helping your loved one get out of bed, bathe and dress as well take their medication.
- Home assistance: We provide home care assistance that includes everything from cleaning and garden maintenance to more complex tasks such as home maintenance and repairs.
- Meal Prep: We can provide basic meal prep assistance for avid cooks or we can provide a comprehensive meal prep program that includes delicious and healthy meals.
- Nursing: We can provide basic nursing needs that are ideal for loved ones who require some level of nursing but not at a more complex level.
- Transport: We all need to complete chores in public, but this can become quite difficult as we age. As such, our team provides transport for elderly Australians to ensure they can get to where they need to go and when they need to get there.
Level 2 HCP FAQs
You must first apply through the government website My Aged Care to begin the process towards receiving an HCP. You can do that through the My Aged Care website or call them directly on 1800 200 422. Your loved one will then receive an evaluation which seeks to learn more about their current living situation and whether they require daily living assistance. You will also be required to provide your Medicare card information during the evaluation.
After the initial evaluation, an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will provide your loved one with in-home evaluation. This is where they will seek to gain a greater understanding of their living requirements before determining what package level is necessary for them to live comfortably and confidently at home.
