HCP FAQs

A Home Care Package (HCP) is a government-funded initiative that helps elderly Australians live as comfortably as possible in their own homes. The level 4 package is designed for elderly Australians with complex care needs, meaning they go above basic care needs like bathing and cooking to more advanced elements like cognitive monitoring and palliative care.

Webb Home Care provides New South Wales with level4 HCP. However, you may still be required to cover some of the costs of your relative’s daily care. Our caring professionals will then be there to help your loved one lead a rich and fulfilling life in spite of any limiting conditions they may be experiencing.

You must first start by applying through the government My Aged Care website. Alternatively, you can call them directly on 1800 200 422. They will then arrange a meeting in which you and/or your loved one will be required to answer a few questions about their current situation and standard of health. You will also be required to provide Medicare details at this stage of the process.

After this initial consultation, an Aged Care Assessment Team will visit your loved one in home to determine the level of complex support they require. You can be there with them at all times and at the conclusion of the evaluation they will determine if your loved one requires a level 4 HCP or a different solution.
